Ingleby Manor is a historic house and many of the features that create its special character do not facilitate easy access. Small steps, low lintels and narrow doors can be found throughout the property. However, as we have renovated the various parts of the house we have improved access where possible.
Gun Room, South Front and Pump Room are ground floor apartments. Gun Room and South Front both have small steps and Pump Room has a step at the entrance. All have been used and enjoyed by accompanied disabled guests and Pump Room has had accompanied wheel chair users. We understand that every situation is different and we are happy to discuss your needs on the phone.
East Wing has a steep stone spiral staircase joining the three floors and is not suitable for those with mobility problems or young children without supervision.

"We stayed in the Pump House apartment for a week to celebrate a family birthday. Christine could not have been more helpful or kinder. From accommodating our requirements for my disabled mum to providing a delicious welcome cake, Christine made sure our stay was a warm and welcome one. The apartment is well appointed, the grounds spectacular and the surrounding area stunning."
